Vincero Analytics: used car market pricing for New Zealand dealers

Every car on your stock list priced against comparable live listings, adjusted for kilometres. Repricing suggests a move, shows the cars behind it, and applies it when you say so.

Vs market

Every car on the yard priced against the live market

The stock list carries a Vs market column: each car’s asking price against the median of comparable live listings, adjusted for kilometres. It replaces checking Trade Me car by car, and it’s refreshed every night.

Green
3% or more under the market.
Neutral
From 3% under to 5% over.
Amber
5% to 12% over.
Red
More than 12% over.

A small arrow shows how the comparable cars have moved over the last 30 days. Under three comparables, the chip says “no median” instead of guessing.

Repricing

Repricing for car dealers, with the comparables shown

The repricing worklist ranks moves on your real stock under Action recommended, Drop signals, Lift opportunities and Hold. Each card gives the current asking, the recommended price, the move and a confidence level, with Apply, Snooze and Dismiss.

Open any car to see the comparable listings behind the number: year, variant, kilometres, price, region and the listing itself. Apply sets the new asking price, or shows it as a discount. Nothing changes until someone presses the button.

The rules are the same for every car: same model year, kilometres within 30%, matching variant and drivetrain, at least three comparables, never below what the car cost you, and no move bigger than 20% of the asking price.

The market

Your region or nationwide market comparison

The Market page switches between Your region and Nationwide. A regional map sits over panels for market pulse, monthly sales, new supply, days of supply, reprice activity, inventory mix, top nameplates, top movers and import mix, each downloadable as CSV.

A Canterbury yard and an Auckland yard aren’t selling into the same market, and the regional view shows the difference.

Price Check

Price Check before you buy or take a trade-in

Search any year, make and model across live listings, narrow by variant, and enter the price you’re weighing up to see where it lands on the spread. A buy-in panel sits alongside, and any model can go on your Price Monitor to watch.

It answers the question at the auction screen or the trade-in appraisal: what is this car already listed for, and by whom.

The yards around you

See how the yards around you price

Analytics tiers the yards in your region or nationally: the ones that set prices, the ones that follow, and the ones that sell on value. For each you see where their stock overlaps with yours, their Google rating and BuyerScore, and how their median price sits against yours. Pin the ones you watch.

Sourcing

What’s selling, and what’s undersupplied

What’s Selling shows which models are moving, as a sold rate rather than raw volume. Undersupplied picks out the cohorts the market is short of, so you can buy for the gaps.

The data is the same corpus behind the Vincero Analytics Digest, and Analytics yards can have a monthly digest emailed to them.

Questions

Market pricing questions

Where does the market data come from?

Live listings from about 1,000 New Zealand yards, observed daily. They are asking prices, not sale prices, and every repricing suggestion shows the comparable listings it was built from.

How are comparable cars chosen?

Same model year, an odometer band of 30% either side (never narrower than 15,000 km), and matching variant and drivetrain. The suggestion aims at the midpoint of the comparables and needs at least three of them.

Will Vincero change my prices on its own?

No. A move waits until someone presses Apply, and owners and admins can also apply the whole list at once. You choose whether the new figure becomes the asking price or shows as a discount.

Can it suggest a price below what I paid?

No. Suggestions never go below the car’s cost basis, a single move is capped at 20% of the asking price, and moves under $200 or 1.5% are left alone.

What happens when there aren’t enough comparable cars?

With fewer than three comparable listings there is no median, and the stock list says so instead of guessing. Where the cohort has to be widened to find enough cars, the result is marked as loose.

Can I compare my region with the whole country?

Yes. The Market page switches between Your region and Nationwide, with a regional map and panels for supply, days of supply, reprice activity and top movers.

What does Vincero Analytics cost?
